How Rotary Became the Heart & Soul of Polio Eradication

Educational Documentary Film

We are raising $50,000 for the initial production, using a Kickstarter-style campaign to rally Rotarians around the world to contribute to the project. In addition, we will use a variety of social media outlets to create a grassroots effort for funding the project. Rotary International members in Rotary District 7620 (2,300 members) and in Rotary Zone’s 33 & 34 (over 50,000 members) will be solicited to contribute. Because the project will be owned by the District 7620 Project Trust Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all contributions to the project will be tax deductible.

Special note to Rotary Clubs and Rotary Districts: We ask that you consider funding this project from your Rotary Club Foundation or from District Designated Funds (DDF). Hopefully telling the story about how Rotary decided to eradicate polio worldwide will inspire our members, as well as non-Rotarians, to continue giving to Polio Plus as we get closer to our goal. We will give suitable recognition to Rotary Club Foundations or Rotary District DDF contributions.

Our stretch goal is to raise $100,000 for a full one-hour production.
